FIRST VISIT TO THE DENTIST
The doctor will perform an examination, select personal hygiene products and give nutrition recommendations for the child. All this will be accompanied by games or watching a cartoon. For parents, it's a great opportunity to help the child build a trusting relationship with a dentist. In the future, it is recommended to have a dental checkup every 3 to 6 months.
02
FISSURE SEALING
It's a painless procedure which includes: thorough cleaning, medical preparation and application of the sealant. Note to parents! This treatment is not a universal cure that allows to once and for all forget about tooth decay, or to cure it. It only allows an 85% reduction of its development, provided that proper daily hygiene and timely dental checkups are performed.
03
FLUORIDE THERAPY
The procedure is fairly quick: it only takes up to 20-30 minutes. Teeth get thoroughly cleaned with a special paste and brush, dried and covered with a special fluoride varnish. The doctor gives some recommendations. This procedure is only performed on prescription. It is completely safe and painless.
04
TOOTH DECAY
In children, this process develops at lightning speed. In a few weeks, tooth decay might develop into pulpitis, or even worse – periodontitis. Treatment at Klovadent will be pain-free, anaesthesia will be provided, if necessary, as well as cartoons or an interesting TV programme to watch. We use modern technologies, magnification (microscope or binoculars), dental dam isolation.
05
MILK TEETH
Treatment of milk teeth is definitely needed. And they require similar care as the permanent teeth. Indeed, under the milk teeth, there is a basement for the permanent, and in case of inflammation, it might get damaged. Delayed extraction of a ruined tooth may cause malocclusion, change the timing of teething, influence diction, growth of jaws and ability to chew food.
06
MILK TEETH EXTRACTION
This process is completely painless for our little patients. The doctor uses topical anaesthetic (gel): if necessary, a "little mosquito" flies in and freezes the area where the treated tooth is located.
